Popular 20th century Piano Solo.
Here is a piece that was once in the repertoire of every pianist in the 1950s/60s/70s - played to various degrees of expertise.
My wife Susan page turned the sheet music for me as I recorded this piece - as there are some quite nonsensically printed page turn moments.
It's from a UK 1947 quite drab Movie called "While I Live". The actual musical performance on the movie is also quite poor too, as is most of the acting. But the composer Charles Williams created something here that subsequently took on a life of it's own far greater than the Movie.
